At long last… The Menu!

At long last and after many requests, I’m pleased to present you with our menu as of March 1, 2018.

Thank you all for your patience! We’ve had a phenomenal year and have had such a wonderful time meeting all of you who’ve had the chance to stop by. We are moving into the very busy spring season, and wanted to give you a chance to see what we’ve got.

We do frequently run specials too. The fish and chips is particularly popular.

Cheers to all, and without further ado… the menu!

  1. I’m heading to Terlingua next week for my annual birthday visit.
Can’t wait to try that new menu! Sounds delicious!

    1. Open at 5 PM and close at 12:00 PM Sunday through Friday. Late closing on Saturday night (1:00 AM).

  2. Will be out in Big Bend in the next month or so and, of course, at La Kiva. I’ve heard that y’all no longer serve craft beers. This is troubling, if true. Is it?

    Long Live La Kiva!

    1. The story is a little more complex than that. We no longer serve Big Bend Brewing products. First they had a temporary internal problem resulting in a product with a very limited shelf life (reportedly now solved) and then we had problems with the distributor who would not visit for weeks on end and NEVER cleaned the beer lines. I was told repeatedly by the distributor that Porter 22 was no longer available in draft while BBB say it is. ????? I was left with no option but to stop offering BBB products. I live in hope that one day the distributor will get his act together and I will be able to again offer BBB products. I am more selective than most. I was brought up by a father who ran large parts of a traditional and large brewery in the United Kingdom. I know what good beer is and I will not serve bad product or product that is not properly looked after.

At this time we offer the following draft products. Lone Star, Shiner Bock, Dos Equis, Guinness and Modello Especial in beers as well as Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider. As soon as the BBB distributor shows he can be more reliable I will once again add BBB products to the lineup. The distributor has shown recent improvement so I live in hope.
